These sweet jingle bells are fun to make and cute to hang.
They don’t have to be only for Christmas, but can be used for many special occasions or just playtime to keep young children occupied.
Dress them up with scraps of ribbon from presents you received or anything else found around the house that you can recycle.
Please remember to use non-toxic kids glue, so that we don’t have any accidents.
- 1 paper cup
- Little Candy Pieces
Poke a hole in the middle of the bottom of the paper cup.
Spread glue with fingers on outside of cup.
Hold cup and roll in candy, let dry.
Loop your pretty ribbon through the hole and tie a knot inside.
Attach bells to end of ribbon. You don’t need to use bells. For something different, use old pieces of jewelry that sparkle. Or you can even let the kids try their hand with self adhesive rhinestones on a roll. There won’t be any mess from glue or sparkles all over the table and floor. And for little hands, they will be easier to work with.
It is probably easier and prettier to use smashed up candy, but you can also try the macaroni that is made from vegetables. That way, the pieces are colored, too, and of course, you don’t have to worry about cleaning up paint or adding food coloring.
